The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is recruiting a full-time, non-tenure accruing Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dental Sciences, Division of Prosthodontics. UFCD is recognized as one of the leading dental schools in the United States whose mission is to achieve excellence in the art and science of dentistry through teaching, research, and service.
Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s credentials and experience with an attractive salary and benefit package. Responsibilities for this position will center on pre-doctoral and graduate level didactic, pre-clinical and clinical instruction, participation in intramural faculty practice, and include opportunities for research collaboration. The position’s minimum requirements include: a DDS, DMD or equivalent degree and advanced training in prosthodontics. Preferred qualifications include: a certificate of specialty from a CODA-accredited postgraduate prosthodontics program, board certification or board eligibility, and previous teaching experience.

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks a dynamic, experienced candidate for the position of Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.

This position requires leadership and guidance for the college’s academic mission, and it includes the overall responsibility for administration of the curriculum for the D.D.S program. The successful candidate also will work closely with the Associate Dean for Clinic Administration and Patient Care to ensure the highest quality of clinical education.
He/she will partner with the Director of the Dental Hygiene Program and the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Advanced Education to create an unequaled interdisciplinary educational experience. Curriculum development and oversight, student recruitment and progress, and accreditation are also parts of the portfolio. He/she will contribute as a senior member of the College of Dentistry’s administration. Any special interest and experience in the planning and design of a new dental school facility is highly desirable.
Competitive candidates will possess a D.D.S., D.M.D., or equivalent degree in a related field with knowledge of and experience in academic dentistry. Candidates must be eligible for tenure at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, and they must bring leadership, excellent communication skills, and managerial skills in dealing with students, faculty and staff. Candidates should have an interest in and be able to utilize technology in the teaching and learning process, and in classroom and clinical settings.

Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry is seeking applications for a clinical-translational researcher to fill the position of Director, Center for Craniofacial Research and Diagnosis. The Director’s main responsibilities will be to lead the TAMBCD translational research agenda, promote clinical-translational research initiatives among all TAMBCD departments, and establish partnerships with other clinical and academic institutions within the Dallas area and elsewhere. Other related activities may be asked of the Director, including garnering resources for faculty to maintain an active program of scholarship and funded research, mentoring junior faculty to become independent extramurally-funded scholars, and advancing the research goals outlined in TAMBCD’s strategic plan. The maintenance and growth of the Director’s own research agenda will be strongly supported. Candidates whose areas of expertise complement one or more research strengths at TAMBCD, i.e., studies on mineralized tissues, periodontal diseases, dental caries, education/public health, drug and biological materials testing, pain/TMJ and dental implants, are highly encouraged to apply. The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
