Scholarship Programs for 2009 - 2010 are:
1) Colgate-Palmolive / HDA Foundation Scholarship
2) Procter & Gamble Professional Oral Health / HDA Foundation Scholarship
3) Dr. Juan D. Villarreal / HDA Foundation Scholarship

**Colgate-Palmolive Company, the Founding Supporter of the Hispanic Dental Association, has joined with the Hispanic Dental Association Foundation in its quest for continuous improvement in the development of dental professionals, to present a scholarship program to students enrolled in a Post-Graduate Dentistry Related Program. Scholarships in amounts of up to $10,000 will be awarded to support students who seek to advance their scientific and applied clinical knowledge in the area of dentistry to further their commitment to aiding and supporting the Hispanic community.
What is the intent of this scholarship? The intent of this Scholarship Program is to support promising students in their academic training. Scholarships under this program will help the student complete their training for a Masters Degree in a Dentistry Related Program. Who can apply? These scholarships are open to student members of the Hispanic Dental Association who have been accepted into or are currently enrolled in an accredited Masters Program in a Dentistry Related Field. Student must have an undergraduate or graduate degree in an oral health related field (dental hygienist, dentistry etc.) from the U.S. or abroad. Students must have permanent resident status in the U.S. and be a current student member of the Hispanic Dental Association.
Maximum award: $10,000. Follow directions on application regarding completion and return.

**Procter & Gamble Professional Oral Health has joined with the Hispanic Dental Association Foundation in its quest for continuous improvement in the development of oral health professionals, to present a scholarship program to students in dentistry. Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded to support meritorious work by students who seek to advance their scientific and applied clinical knowledge as they enter into the oral health profession.
What is the intent of the scholarship? The intent of this HDA Foundation Scholarship Program is to support promising students as they enter into their academic training. The awarding of these scholarships will obligate the grantees to complete the first year of their dental, dental hygiene, dental assisting or dental technician program. Who can apply? These scholarships are open to student members of the Hispanic Dental Association who have been accepted into an accredited dental, dental hygiene, dental assisting or dental technician program. (Entry level = entering first year of program in the Fall of 2009.) Students must have permanent resident status in the U.S. and be a current student member of the Hispanic Dental Association.

**Dr. Juan D. Scholarships in amounts of $1,000 and $500 will be awarded to support meritorious work by students who seek to advance their scientific and applied clinical knowledge in dentistry to further their commitment to aiding and supporting the Hispanic community.
What is the intent of the scholarship? The intent of this HDA Foundation Scholarship Program is to support promising students in their academic training. The awarding of these scholarships will obligate the grantees to complete the current year of their dental or dental hygiene program. Who can apply? These scholarships are open to student members of the Hispanic Dental Association who have been accepted into or are currently enrolled in an accredited dental school or dental hygiene program in the state of Texas. The student may be at any stage of the undergraduate program, first through fourth years. Students must have permanent resident status in the U.S. and be a current student member of the Hispanic Dental Association.
