Grants up to $1000.00 to support outreach designed to introduce dentistry as a career option and provide educational resources to hopefully influence more under-represented minorities to enter the profession.  Outreach presentations and workshops can be geared from Head Start/Elementary to High-School/Undergraduate students. Applications are accepted throughout the year and assistance will be rewarded on an available basis.

Grants up to $250.00 for student chapters to provide an oral health presentation to increase the oral health literacy of Older Adults and their nurses/caregivers. 

Deadline May 3rd - Sponsored by Colgate. Award up to $5,000 to present a case study on a Hispanic pediatric patient.  Winning students may be invited to have their case studies published on the Colgate Oral Health Network. Winner announced at HDA Student Regional with travel support for student and faculty advisor to attend Student Regional Meeting. Also includes $500 to the winner’s HSDA Chapter. DEADLINE EXTENDED: MAY 15TH (click on image for rules & guidelines)

Deadline May 15th - Award up to $1750 will be in three categories for the top three presenters. Dental Residents, Dental Students, and Dental Hygiene Students will be eligible to compete for awards and recognition to be awarded to the top idea shared that will also be published in our international bilingual journal. The Colgate / Hispanic Dental Association Faculty Award recognizes faculty who are members of the Hispanic Dental Association and who have contributed towards enhancing the quality of oral health for the Hispanic population by extending themselves beyond the scope of their position. Three individual awards are available, and recipients are selected by a review panel comprised of members from Colgate and the Hispanic Dental Association. Criteria and Nomination Form NOMINATION DEADLINE: MAY 15TH.
